If you’ve been wondering what happened to Garage Girls Jewelry over the past year, you’re not alone. Truth is—we almost shut down for good. It wasn’t an easy decision to consider, but life threw some unexpected challenges my way, and for a while, I wasn’t sure if we could keep going. Some of you may have seen the story post I made about needing help and possibly shutting down on Oct 1st of 2024.
So, what happened? Here’s the real story...
1. The Content Struggle Was Real 🎥
Running a brand in today’s world means constantly creating content, content, and more content. Between filming, editing, posting, and engaging, I felt like I was drowning. I couldn’t keep up, and without fresh content, the brand started losing momentum.
2. Enter Foieviare – My Skincare Line 🧴✨
During this time, I launched Foieviare, my luxury natural skincare line. www.foieviare.com It took off faster than I expected, and suddenly, my time was completely consumed with product development, branding, and building something from scratch. I poured everything into it, and unfortunately, that meant Garage Girls took a backseat.
3. The Car Scene Shifted 🚘
After the pandemic, the car scene changed. I wasn’t attending car shows like I used to, and I felt disconnected from the community that Garage Girls was built for. The shift made it harder to stay inspired, and for a while, I questioned whether the brand still had a place.
4. Changing Economy, Changing Demographic 💸
The economy took a hit, and with it, people’s spending habits changed. The demographic that originally supported Garage Girls wasn’t the same as before, and I had to rethink how to keep the brand relevant.
But Here’s the Good News… WE’RE BACK! 🎉💎
After a lot of reflection, I realized that Garage Girls Jewelry still has a place in the car world—and I’m not letting it go just yet. We’re sticking around, and we’re coming back stronger than ever.
